Yes. We provide water solutions for homes, farms, offices, complexes, schools, retail properties, shopping centres and industrial applications.
Borehole Drilling
4. Do I need a groundwater survey before drilling a borehole?
A geophysical groundwater survey is recommended as an initial assessment. It helps identify areas that may have a higher likelihood of intersecting groundwater and can assist with selecting a suitable drilling location and estimating drilling depth. However, a survey cannot guarantee that water will be found or the final borehole yield.
5. Does a groundwater survey guarantee that I will find water?
No. Groundwater conditions can vary from property to property. A geophysical survey, drilling service or yield test cannot guarantee the presence, quantity, quality or long-term availability of groundwater.
6. How deep will my borehole need to be?
Borehole depth depends on the geological conditions encountered during drilling. A survey can provide an estimated drilling depth, but actual conditions may differ once drilling begins. Rock formations, fractures, cavities and other geological conditions can affect the final depth and borehole construction.
7. How much water will my borehole produce?
The amount of water available depends on the groundwater conditions and the borehole. A sustainable yield test can be performed after drilling and development to assess pumping rate, water level, drawdown, recovery and sustainable yield.
8. Do I need a pump for my borehole?
Most borehole systems require suitable pumping equipment to extract and distribute groundwater. Pump selection should take the borehole depth, water level, sustainable yield, required flow rate, pressure and intended water usage into consideration.
9. Can you install a borehole pump?
Yes. We can assist with supplying and installing suitable borehole pumps and associated equipment based on the requirements of the borehole and water system.
10. Should borehole water be tested?
Yes. We recommend laboratory water testing, particularly where borehole water is intended for drinking or other sensitive applications. Water testing helps identify water-quality characteristics and determine whether additional treatment may be required.
Water Testing
11. Why should I test my water?
Every water source is different. Municipal, borehole and stored water can have different water-quality characteristics. A water analysis helps identify potential water-quality concerns and assists in selecting an appropriate filtration or purification system.
12. What can be tested in my water?
Depending on the selected laboratory analysis, testing can include pH, electrical conductivity, TDS, alkalinity, hardness, turbidity, colour, ammonia, dissolved metals, chloride, fluoride, nitrate, nitrite, sulphate and other water-quality parameters.
13. Can you test for bacteria in water?
Microbiological water testing can be used to assess indicators such as E. coli, total coliforms, faecal coliforms and heterotrophic plate count, depending on the laboratory test selected.
14. Can you recommend a filtration system based on my water test?
Yes. Your water analysis can be considered together with your flow rate, pressure, daily water usage and intended application to help determine a suitable filtration solution.
15. What if I already have a water analysis?
You can send us your latest water analysis. We can review the results and help determine what type of filtration or water-treatment solution may be appropriate for your requirements.
Filtration & Purification
16. What type of water filtration system do I need?
There is no single filtration system that is suitable for every water source. The appropriate system depends on your water quality, water source, flow requirements, pressure, daily usage, available space and intended use.
17. Do you install whole-house filtration systems?
Yes. We supply and install whole-house filtration systems designed around the requirements of the property and water source.
18. Do you install under-counter water filters?
Yes. We supply and install compact under-counter filtration systems for drinking and kitchen water applications.
19. Can you treat hard water and limescale?
Yes. Water softening systems can be used to help reduce hardness and limescale. The appropriate treatment should be selected based on the water analysis and application.
20. Can you treat sediment and cloudy water?
Yes. Sediment filtration can help reduce suspended particles and sediment. Water testing can help determine the appropriate filtration requirements.
21. Can you improve water taste and odour?
Activated carbon filtration can be used to improve taste and odour and address certain water contaminants. The appropriate treatment depends on the water quality.
22. Do you install UV water treatment?
Yes. UV treatment can be incorporated into suitable water-treatment systems where microbiological control is required.
23. Do you install Reverse Osmosis systems?
Yes. Reverse Osmosis can form part of a multi-stage or specialised water-treatment system where appropriate. The suitability of RO depends on the water analysis and intended application.
24. Can you design a custom filtration system?
Yes. We can configure filtration systems using appropriate filter housings, FRP vessels, vessel heads, cartridges and filter media according to the water quality, flow requirements, available space and intended application.
Water Backup Solutions
25. Can you install a water backup system for my home or business?
Yes. We supply, install and maintain water backup systems for residential, commercial and industrial properties. Systems can be designed around your water demand, storage requirements, available space, existing plumbing and pressure requirements.
26. What can a water backup system include?
Depending on your requirements, a backup system may include storage tanks, pumps, booster pumps, pressure systems, automatic changeover or bypass solutions, filtration, UV treatment, Reverse Osmosis and other components.
27. What size water tank do I need?
Tank capacity depends on your expected water demand, required backup period, available space and existing system. We can assess your requirements and help determine an appropriate storage capacity.
28. Can I use a pump with my backup water tank?
Yes. Pump-assisted systems can be designed to maintain the required pressure for taps, showers, appliances and other applications where suitable.
29. Can you install an automatic changeover system?
Yes. Automatic changeover solutions can be incorporated into suitable water-backup systems. The exact configuration will depend on the existing plumbing, water sources and requirements of the property.
30. Can borehole water and municipal water be used together?
Yes, but the system must be designed correctly to avoid unwanted cross-connections and protect the municipal supply. Depending on the installation, separation, backflow prevention and appropriate plumbing controls may be required.
Filtration Servicing & Maintenance
31. Do you service existing filtration systems?
Yes. We can inspect and service existing filtration systems, including whole-house systems, under-counter units, FRP vessels, water softeners, UV systems, filter housings and other filtration components.
32. Can you replace filter cartridges and filter media?
Yes. We can replace sediment and carbon cartridges, remove exhausted filter media and install suitable replacement media according to the system and water quality.
33. How often should my filters be replaced?
Filter cartridges and media have a limited service life. Replacement intervals depend on water quality, water usage and the requirements of the filtration system.
34. How do I know if my filtration system needs servicing?
Changes in water taste, colour, smell, pressure or flow can indicate that your filtration system may require servicing, filter replacement or further assessment.
35. Can you service an existing FRP filter vessel?
Yes. We can inspect and service FRP filter vessels, including backwashing and checking internal components where required.
36. How often should borehole water be tested?
Water quality can change over time. We recommend water-quality testing at least every 12 months, or sooner if there is a noticeable change in the water’s colour, taste, smell or appearance.
Getting Started
37. Can you assess my existing water system?
Yes. We can assess existing filtration and water systems and advise on servicing, repairs, upgrades, replacement components or improvements where required.
38. What information do you need to provide a recommendation?
Depending on the service, useful information may include your water source, water analysis, flow rate, water pressure, daily water usage, existing equipment, available space and intended use of the water.
